Bay Manor, is a handsome,  turn of the century, three story red
brick house. It stands in an acre of land, and has stunning views
of the snow capped Olympic Mountains and the Puget Sound.
Although all modern conveniences have been added, care has
been taken to retain the ambiance of days gone by, evidenced
by the blend of antique and traditional furniture. The welcome is
friendly, guests are greeted with a hot or cold beverage, and as
one guests said “we feel really at home here”.
At times, the Sound is quite busy with freighters, pleasure and
sail boats. Our goal is to ensure that you enjoy your visit to the
beautiful Pacific Northwest.

ELSIE'S BAY MANOR

The advent of bed and breakfast, which no longer applies today,
has been around for a long time in Britain and the rest of Europe.
The concept originated by enterprising people looking for a way to
increase their income whilst providing an affordable way for
everyone to travel.

It was quite simple at the onset, a  room in a private house,
breakfast served in the kitchen,  after which you had to leave, and
could not return until early evening.  It provided exactly what it
indicates, a bed and a breakfast, nothing more.

Since the forming of the British Tourist Authority, with their upscale
criteria,  which we applaud, and enterprising property owners, bed
and breakfast has come full circle, now offering  excellent  high
standards, and range from cozy, clean, and comfortable, to elegant
and luxurious accommodation.  All have their own special brand of
hospitality, modern conveniences, and a warm and friendly
welcome, and in many cases, provide the same, if not better
conveniences as a hotel.

Recommendations on where to eat, advice on local events is often
part of  the service.   B&B owners take great pride in their
establishments, and are intuitive about meeting your needs.
Accommodation is available in, town houses, 16th century farm
houses, Castles, Manor Houses, thatched cottages, light houses,
medieval buildings, all modern conveniences, great food and hosts
who offer their own special brand of hospitality. If you are planning
on a trip to Britain and Ireland, I would be happy to offer advice on
where to stay.
